Day 01: Travel to Luxor
In the evening, you will be transferred to Giza Station, where you will board the first-class sleeper train to Luxor. Enjoy dinner on board and relax overnight during your journey.
Day 02: Luxor Sightseeing
Upon your arrival in Luxor, our representative will meet you at the train station and assist you with your transfer to a private, air-conditioned vehicle.
Your day begins with a visit to the West Bank, where you’ll explore the Valley of the Kings—an awe-inspiring burial site for many ancient Egyptian kings. Notable tombs include those of King Thutmose I, Thutmose III, Tutankhamun, Ramses VI, Merneptah, and Amenhotep II.
Next, visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut (also known as El Deir El Bahari). This stunning temple was built by Queen Hatshepsut, the daughter of Thutmose I, who reigned during the 18th Dynasty (approximately 1490-1469 B.C.), and was the only female pharaoh to rule ancient Egypt.
Then, proceed to the Colossi of Memnon, the remains of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III, which stand as impressive monuments to the past.
In the afternoon, head to the East Bank to visit the Karnak Temple, one of the largest and most significant religious complexes in Egypt, dedicated to the god Amun, his wife Mut, and their son Khonsu.
Finally, visit the Temple of Luxor, built by Amenhotep III in the 18th Dynasty and later completed by Ramses II during the 19th Dynasty.
After a full day of exploration, you will be transferred back to Luxor train station for your return journey to Cairo aboard the first-class sleeper train.
