Next, you’ll be transferred to Abdeen Palace, which was built by Khedive Ismail in 1863. The construction took ten years and the palace is named after Sultan Abdin Bey, a military leader during the reign of Mohamed Ali. Khedive Ismail purchased the property from the widow of Sultan Abdin Bey and expanded the palace, creating a grand landscape around it.
