Africa Safari Park: The First Open Zoo in Egypt and the Middle East
Opened in 2004, Africa Safari Park is the first open zoo in Egypt and the Middle East, offering a unique and immersive experience with wildlife in their natural habitats. Unlike traditional zoos, the park limits car access to ensure the safety of visitors, allowing some areas where you can walk freely among the animals, depending on the species’ temperament.
The park is surrounded by a river, home to hippos, crocodiles, and various fish. One of the highlights of the park is the river trip, which offers visitors the chance to observe these fascinating creatures up close in their natural environment.
For a more immersive experience, guests can enjoy a meal at Zambezi African Restaurant, located on the banks of the river. The restaurant serves authentic African food and grilled specialties, all while you listen to traditional African music, enhancing the cultural experience.
The park is also home to a collection of 22 species of rare reptiles, including Cobras, Watawat, Jarboua, turtles, falcons, and other exotic animals. These creatures are housed in specially designed caves to mimic their natural habitats. Additionally, the park designers have created artificial waterfalls to complete the African climate, making it feel like you’ve stepped into the heart of Africa.
Several activities are available within the park, such as fishing, ice hockey, table tennis, football, as well as ping pong and billiards.
For those looking for an extended stay, the park features a small hotel with individual rooms, each equipped with its own private swimming pool. Guests even have the option to fish right from their rooms, making this a truly unique getaway.
Come experience the wonder of nature and wildlife in a setting unlike any other!
