Day 1: Arrival
Board before noon. Enjoy lunch then depart for a tour of the East bank including the temples of Karnak and Luxor. Afternoon tea, a cocktail reception and dinner with dancing afterward. O/N Luxor.
Day 2:
Visit the West bank’ Necropolis of Thebes to see the Valley of the Kings and Queens, Medinet Habu and the Colossi of Memnon. Sail to Esna with lunch enroute. Enjoy an excellent video presentation on upper Egypt. Afternoon tea, Black & White dinner and after dinner dancing.O/N Esna.
Day 3:
Visit the temple of the God Khnum. Sail to Edfu with lunch in route. Visit the Temple of Horus in Edfu by Caleche. Sail to Kom Ombo with afternoon tea enroute. Enjoy an Egyptian buffet dinner with a costume party (costumes furnished by the ship). O/N Kom Ombo.
Day 4:
Visit the temple of Kom Ombo. Sail to Aswan with lunch in route. Enjoy an afternoon Felucca (native sailboat) ride to the botanical gardens on Kitchener’s island, pass Elephantine Island and the Agha Khan mausoleum. Afternoon tea, dinner and after dinner dancing. O/N Aswan.
Day 5:
Disembark and visit the high dam, the old dam, the unfinished Obelisk and the Temple of Philae.
